Through the dark is an orchestra sound

A harmony unique all around

Leaves twirl and dance upon breeze light and cool

Bats flitter above like fish in a pool

We stare to the heavens on grandma's quilt

Crickets chirp a predictable soft lilt

Cicadas high in treetops deeply hum

All a perfect rhythm beautifully strum

Silver pinpricks through overhead cloak

Shimmering wonder with Painter's stroke

Huge creamy sphere rises above skyline

Children shriek in awe at perfect design

We kick off shoes to scurry limbs high

To watch the ball find its place in the sky
